Is it worth it to spend, however, installation? When and to whom is it worth it? That was the question we asked ourselves before. This time something from my story.
As I wrote in my post " purchase land for my house ... so in retrospect ... (Part 1)" my first step was the purchase of land for investment. Another is to choose the proper design of the building. I decided to purchase a finished project (more on this topic in the post Projects ready "is not quite ready ... and my choice ... ). Because in the course of the arrangements in the Council was rejected basic version of the building and adopted Alternative stood before the need for developing new versions of most of the projects and the installation of internal connections. Unfortunately, this meant additional costs but opened the way for changes that seemed to be the preferred. One of them was associated with the possibility of developing an individual installation which (floor heating on the ground floor and the attic of conventional heaters) and hot water (300 liter hot water circulating pump assisted) using multiple sources of supply - I chose fireplace with water assisted by a modern boiler gas and solar installation . Specialist company made the appropriate installation - mounted fireplace along with 300-liter tank of hot water and prepared the necessary connections ready for the subsequent connection of a gas boiler and solar energy.

After about 2 years of use has proved that the fire itself is not working 100%. Has great advantages (low heating costs), but and disadvantages in the use of such at very low temperatures outside the need for frequent enough wood or other contribution (on average once every 3-5 hrs.), lack of full control of temperature in individual rooms, while in the summer to heat water is necessary to "burning in the fireplace." .. Whew ... in the living room and here comes hot embers of a fireplace ... more
So I started to look around for solar installations and a gas boiler.
Since the efficiency of Solar in the winter there is little use to heat their house and hot water is negligible. So it became known that without a gas boiler would care.
Looking for solar installations inquired about various details of the individual representatives of different brands, and companies specializing in the assembly. All proposals include a complete solution (collectors, connectors, receptacles, pump control unit etc.) - but the price ranged from well above 10 000 zł gross.
At this cost it was worth it to look for possibilities of their financing. The program of municipal support for such installations up to 50% - missed. Left support from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management - now so widely advertised. Funding information they claim is 45% of capital a bank loan used to finance the cost of the project. The total project budget amounts to NFOŚiGW PLN 300 million to be allocated for the years 2010 to 2014. At first glance it looks is very promising, but what is the truth?
Reading the additional details we can see that the funding can be up to 45% of gross bank credit, but no more than 2 500 PLN per square meter plant.
Rozpytując friends as they looked after the way I heard different versions of the grant. And yet confirmed my daily experience with grants - professionally and provide advice on obtaining external funding (including EU) on various types of investments, and not only for the public sector and SMEs.
One of them looked so ... After completing the project on the installation (the requirement is necessary, which unfortunately also increases the cost of investment) went to the bank, who reportedly signed a contract of credit with the company installing solar installations engaged with the assembly, he chose a friend. Big surprise there. Nobody knew anything about it. Oh, not good ... and it was a beginning. After explaining all the nuances and filling of documents received the first document - the ability of credit and grant application. After several days, the bank said that there is no signed contract with the contractor services and added some additional documents from the BOS. After another few days and subsequent signing of the documents the bank came to the conclusion that your friend has, however, have a guarantor. In the meantime, it turned out that there is information request (query) that if the solar installation does not require a building permit must submit an appropriate statement on the matter. Again we had to go to the faculty and administration building for a statement which stated that such procedures do not have to make such a statement, in general it is almost black construction and white that the collector does not require installation of a building permit and that they are not on the interpretation of construction law, the bank insisted on a statement and the administration is furious that the banks make up the procedure. Have managed to "somehow get around." It turned out that you need any additional information which is not supposed to install in the project - and started again, "stairs". Generally, after about 4 months and several visits to the bank, offices, installation contractor friend was on the stage of signing the credit agreement. His words are "if you want to get the funding you need arm themselves with the very patient, " .

WoW ....
My calculation was, therefore, short ...
Grant is 45% of the installation, but not more than 2 500 zł per square meter installation - or buy more expensive and better facilities then do not get the full subsidy but only part of the expenditure . We must also spend money on projects, etc. With this arrangement the income tax on an individual basis for each user - that is, in general can assume that 18% of the grant will take the input tax. Then there are the additional costs or commission on the loan (3%) and interest (10%) per annum.
When I did a sample simulation is found that the rapid repayment of the loan subsidy would be around 25-30%, or for an installation for 10 000 zł will be a 2 500 - 3 000 zł and for the installation for 15 000 - about 4 000 zł (after all costs) - but only if a sufficiently large area zabudujemy solarami (hahaha. ..).
Well, come to the heart of the matter - the time of return of such installations, even taking into account the 45% subsidy is too long for me.
Additionally - if the minimum 10 thousand zł what I would have to spend is earmarked for solar systems for heating domestic hot water gas boiler which modern and so I need to install, as an alternative to the fireplace, is enough to cover the cost of a few years , so .... MY OPINION DOES NOT SEEM WORTH TWICE FOR THE SAME PURPOSE ...
